I've been hitting the thrift stores hard lately but I've been trying to do it a bit differently than normal. You see a normal scenario goes something like this "Holy crap, did you see this?! It's so cool. Do I have a use for this? No. Doesn't matter. I need to get this so some other yahoo doesn't. Get in the shopping cart little buddy." Now I know that seems totally rational but I have to admit that it has its downfalls. So now I'm trying to be more mindful of my thrift purchases (just because they're cheap doesn't mean they don't cost something) by coming armed with a list and a critical eye. Sure I have to say goodbye to some pretty cool things but it actually does make my purchases just a little more special. Anyhow, that's enough jibber-jabber. Let's get on with the thrift, shall we?
vintage sheets $3.99 each
I love this pattern. I've found it in the past in a blue colourway. This time I found both yellow and purple. I see curtains on the horizon.
vintage dress $4.00
A vintage dress full of potential and extra yardage. A restyle will come very soon.
vintage suitcase $2.00
For the next time I hit the road. I won't be carrying any sneaky passengers.
Pyrex pie plate $6.99
A lime green pie plate perfect for a baking post photo shoot. It is officially time to get my pie on.
"I Bet You Can't" vintage over sized tumbler $2.00
I bought this for Jesse's 30th birthday party but I think it will instead serve as a motivational tool for Frankie. There's no way you can drink that much milk kitty. Yes I can!
Have you been thrifting lately? I'd love to see what you've found! If you've blogged it, Flickr'd it, Instagram'd it please leave a link below so I can have a look-see too.
