blog fandom: the ones that make me giddy

So last week I chatted about the two blogs that inspired me to get serious about My Girl Thursday.  This week I'm focussing on...
Truth be told absolutely any of the blogs that I mention in this series make me giddy, but I didn't want to spend my whole treasure trove of urls on just one category.  Let's just say that these ladies are exceptionally good at giving me blog butterflies.

 Kaylah of The Dainty Squid

This girl right here is a genius of colour.  You could even say she's my colour hero.  Whenever I stop by her blog I feel like I'm peeking into this feline-filled Technicolor life that was perfectly stitched together while Kaylah was watching a 90's sitcoms on Netflix.  If you're unfamiliar with her blog then you should hop on over tout suite and you'll see what I'm saying.

Also, she's got the thrifting skills to pay the bills.  Although, that's not how she pays the bills.  Check out her shop to lay your eyes on some of the prettiest handmade pouches ever.

Danielle of A Blog by Danielle Thompson

This blog is a portal to a world I want to live in.  A kitschy cornucopia of dolls and tiki and vintage craft.  It's all enough to make a girl like me buckle at the knees.  Danielle is by far one of my favourite collectors of things because she does it so darn well!  In her photos it's easy to see that she had a decor theme going on and my favourite parts are always the trinkets.  The placement of these odds and ends and the overall design of each room has left me awestruck on more than one occasion.  Quinte honestly if I could choose just one person to decorate my home it would be Danielle.  Without a doubt, she could single-handedly create my happy place.

Katrina of Pugly Pixel

If you've been visiting this blog for a while then you probably know I'm a little nuts over Pugly Pixel.  I couldn't be more grateful for Katrina and what she does.  Seriously blog world - this woman is a blessing to us all.  Thanks to Pugly Pixel I have been able to experiment with brushes and clipart that normally I would have had little or no access to.  On top of that she offers these amazing design tutorial videos that I've actually jumped up and down for (I'm a very visual learner, she's a fantastic teacher and I hop when I'm excited).  Thank you for everything you do Katrina.  Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Katie of Skunkboy Creatures

I have been a fan of Katie and her creatures for years.  But what may get me the most excited when I visit her blog is her outfit posts.  I am a fan of outfit posts in general (I'll admit it) but when Katie does it she does it right.  I adore her style.  Adore.  She has most definitely inspired me to wear what makes me happy and to stop over thinking all of my clothing insecurities.

On a side note: Katie was the very first person that gave me a chance at blog design and I will be forever grateful for that.  Working on a new look for Skunkboy Creatures gave me the opportunity to learn about working with a client, a deadline and the vision of someone else.  I'm a creative girl who enjoys all sorts of craft, but in blog design I've finally found my niche.  Happy dance!

So, that's all for this week.  Are you feeling particularly giddy about any blogs out there?  Please leave a link in the comments below so I can visit some of your favourite places!
