fp: indie biz workbook/portfolio

It's almost time for my Indie Biz class to begin, and in preparation I spent the evening putting together my workbook/portfolio.

I popped over to Michael's this afternoon. I just had to find some cute scrapbook paper so I could make my own divider tabs. I'm pretty happy with the collection I found. Here's a before and after shot.

Then I had to create an inside pocket in my binder. I found this binder at a local stationary shop and I really like it! Leigh-Ann (one of the course instructors) suggested getting a recycled binder like this, and I'm really glad I was able to find one. It's a great blank canvas.

Then I stamped up the front of the binder with the class name.

After that I pulled out my trusty craft knife to do some letter cutting. I haven't done this in a while, and I was definitely feeling out of practice.

And that was that! It took me a whole lot longer to get this done than I was anticipating. In the end I'm not in love with the finished product (but when am I ever?) - but I think I'll be okay with it for now. It does feel good to be crafting again though - the absence was too long!
